Work travails

The work situation is a little painful right now. I was up for a job that would be perfect for me, would have paid me enough to get rid of my debt quickly and save plenty for the Dallas Institute of Arts, but despite being qualified for the job I was turned down due to lack of professional experience. Another job I was up for paid very little, yet gave me experience in the computer field (which is what I needed for the first job, ironically), but despite the fact that they thought I was perfect for the job, they couldn't hire me because it was a student assistant position and I'm graduating in May. So, I'm still not making enough to pay the bills. As usual, I've set up another auction for that purpose. I'm trying to hold off selling my real favorites (like Pixar, Miyazaki, and Futurama), but unless something changes soon those may be in my next auction. :/

Aww, sorry to hear about your work situation. Technicalities can suck big time. I hope you get a break somehow, sounds like the second job would've been somewhat like an internship which is usually a good foot in the door. Hopefully better days are ahead, I'd hate to see you have to sell your faves. Good luck Mary. :)

I'm right there with you, Mary. I've been sans-job for nearly a year. I'm qualified out the wazoo, but I lack the professional XP to acually get hired. Even so - though I'm tired, frustrated, broke, and alone - God has been so good to me to encourage me from His Word and to provide for the bills month by month. Keep seeking Him, and He'll see you through the good times and the bad - Jer 29:11-14, Is. 40:31, Matt. 6:25-34, also the entire book of Psalms.
God Bless,
Flog
