When this occurred, I had 5 minutes till I had to go to classes. The story had just happened, so there was no online source.
At least no one but the gunman died.

Counseling and Evaluations are the only way to go. Get rid of guns and then they will start stabbing people or using stun guns, whatever. If you have a leaky school roof and it's ruining books, do you replace the books or fix the roof? Same principle here, the people are the bad things not the guns.

The answer is obviously you cover the more important books with the less desirable ones.

I agree, but I'm waiting for the Brady Bill crowd to inevitably start their regular honking about how guns are the problem. God forbid the kid was using a pistol with more than a 10-round magazine capacity because obviously the solution is to make "high capacity" magazines illegal through more legislation that does nothing to stem criminal usage of firearms! THEY MIGHT EVEN HAVE TO RELOAD MORE OFTEN OH SHIT. (Because we all know that changing out a handgun magazine is a complicated process that takes all of 5 seconds if we're being awfully generous and the person in question is amazingly non-dexterous, but is more like between one and two seconds for someone halfway competent. Too bad lots of gun-related homicides involve one party running up to another, emptying their small, low-capacity pistol into the other person, and running off. Oh shit, is this one of those discourse does not match with reality situations?)

It includes details of the attack, a manifesto, his "loves & hates", images of himself and a video of him firing a handgun.[15] The YouTube video, entitled "Jokela High School Massacre - 11/7/2007", was posted by a user called Sturmgeist89. "I am prepared to fight and die for my cause," read a posting by a user of the same name. "I, as a natural selector, will eliminate all who I see unfit, disgraces of human race and failures of natural selection." "Sturmgeist" means storm ghost, or "intention of storming", in German.

How could this happen in Finland, home of Nokia? Well, something to consider...
