#amazonfail

The labeling of books as Adult has always been a sticky point for Amazon, as Adult books don't get rankings, or show up in certain searches. So when hundreds and hundreds of Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual books started getting labeled as Adult (including books that couldn't possibly have adult themes like the History of Gay Rights), the internet went all asplodey.

There's currently a tag called #amazonfail on Twitter that has exploded in popularity (you can thank @wilw (Wil Wheaton) for a lot of that). I'll be very interested to see amazon's response by tomorrow. Because I guarantee that this story will amuse someone at CNN enough to get at least a mention.

Yeah Amazon screwed up. Big deal. Anyone who seriously has used the word "outrage" in the last 48 hours should be shot in the mouth.

You should all know my stand at this point on "minority rights" and such. This has gotten stronger after 2 years in a country whose citizens are considered a minority wherever they go. Minority "victim" status only applies to somebody actually suffering because they are a minority and not to the whole minority group as a whole in some sort of blanket.

PHB you have used your own forbidden word. In any aspect, I consider anyone who just throws around the word fag candidate for the canon of ten thousand bitch slaps. but that is just my own personal feeling about it. I have already slapped my cousin twice and he hasn't said it any more. Any time he comes home from school he tries to say it but changes up his words or lets half of it slip.

I swear I am not a violent homophobe hater.
