Are you trying to indicate that the people who go to a website called "beliefnet" are representative of the electorate of the U.S.? You told me this wasn't a right center country. Which is it?

I would expect no less from children, young or middle-aged.

Fine Borland. So the survey does not indicate that half of McCain voters are idiots. Just half of religious McCain voters are idiots.
 | | His campaign kept preaching "inclusion," and she decided to see how included she could be. |
When did Obama's campaign preach "inclusion"? His campaign was all middle class, middle class, middle class. And Change.
 | | "In one class, I had one teacher say she will not judge me for my choice, but that she was surprised that I supported McCain," Catherine said. If Catherine was shocked by such passive-aggressive threats from instructors, just wait until she goes to college. |
Right. How is it that a teacher saying she's surprised by your shirt is a "Passive-Aggressive threat"? And I like the dig where he implies, without evidence, that college students are victims of professors' "passive-aggressive threats." Never mind research showing the opposite.
This girl did not do an experiment. An experiment needs a control. In this case the control would be to go to some paleo-conservative town wearing a big Obama shirt. Probably get you killed by a Sean Hannity fan.

I encouraged my students on the day prior to election day to vote. I asked who had already voted. Several hands raised in all classes. I then asked who planned to vote. Many more raised hands. Ironically, when I asked who was not registered, I had among the non-registered, two guys who are in the National Guard. Crazy! There was a handful of students in each class that had not registered and who basically didn't give a shit as indicated by shrugs and sneers. A few international students (two women, one man) voiced that they wished that they could vote and how crazy they thought it was that people didn't care.
I didn't care who they voted for, just that they gave a shit in some manner.

They fail, especially if they cop attitude for being in the military at the same time.

Because web votes are obviously the most accurate kind of vote there is. That's why Ron Paul is our current president.

For those of you who missed it, here is Obama's inaugural speech. It's a pretty good read. Very evocative imagery.

Some people were disappointed that it wasn't more uplifting, but I can understand Obama is trying to set the scene for the American people, by the end of his first term, we'll only see the start of an uptick in the economy.

Personally, I'm glad that Obama is toning down his oratory as well as adding some elements that I thought were subtle ways of saying "I'm different, I favor negotiation and dialogue, but that doesn't mean I'll tolerate your shit" that were directed at various countries around the world.
