I guess we can talk about different technology related things here.

I got to play with an iPhone over my vacation. As skeptical as I was about it, I was blown away with how easy, and cool it was. The iPod function was the best.

Also, has anyone built, or know anyone who has built a computer using a Quad Core setup? Anything I should look out for?

Yeah...I guess you're right, Wally.

I did that a couple of weeks ago. I didn't mention it because I figured that I was the last person on the planet who might give a shit to do so. Unlike the PS3, it might be worth it if you have more money than you know what to do with.

Yes, look out for your wallet.

Why Firefox is Blocked, you'll have to view this in something other than Firefox or using the IE Tab feature.

Basically, he has a beef with the ad-block feature of Firefox stealing revenue from web developers.

Suits me, but someone should tell them for me that if I can't get there using Firefox, I ain't interested. I don't use an ad blocker, so they are just losing ad revenue by blocking me.

Cry me a fucking river. It's an entirely optional attachment that doesn't come with the Firefox package. You have to actively search out that addon, and it's "supported" in the way that all the addons are. Someone designed it and Mozilla hosts it for people who want to use it. I found it impossible to check my Yahoo mail with it install so I got rid of it. You know what kind of ads in blocks? The banner ads that try to pop up one of those pseudo-windows that cover what you're trying to read and you can't click out of them without opening another page. I'm glad your site is blocked douchnozzle, I won't have to be exposed to your ridiculous bullshit.

You can whitelist certain sites, at least with AdBlock Plus.

For some reason even whitelisting didn't work with it so at some point I just gave up. Believe me it's definitely a Godsend for porn though, yuk yuk.

I've never had problems checking my Yahoo account and I have used Ad-Block for quite some time. I love this add-on and hate when I have to use a computer that doesn't have it. I've also installed Firefox and all of my favorite add-ons on all of the department laptops.

Why is Firefox Blocked has been hacked, look quickly!

If you miss it, here is a screenshot

EDIT:
Nevermind, it was just an alternate URL. The real site is WhyFirefoxIsBlocked. Oh well, still a good parody.

While blanket ad blocking in general is still theft

So... using that logic, I suppose that by reading TIME magazine and ignoring all the ads that are in there, I'm in fact guilty of theft and should be blocked from ever owning a TIME subscription. Or any subscription to any magazine, for that matter. I should also never be allowed to drive on the highway, because I ignore billboards. I also shouldn't be allowed to listen to the radio, because I change the station whenever a commercial comes on, and I definitely shouldn't use the internet, because, while I don't have a fancy ad-blocker, I just ignore the stupid shit people advertise.

Don't forget that TiVo should also be illegal, since you have the ability to skip past commercials. Forget the fact that I usually let the show run, because I'm too lazy to press the button a few times, and I usually end up watching the commercials anyway.

You raised my hopes, then dashed them quite expertly, sir. Bravo!

Hmm... if Paramount won't support Blu-Ray, Michael Bay won't do Transformers 2

Like it matters, Paramount will find a new director in a second.

Plus, Transformers 1 wasn't all that great. I don't think there needs to be a Transformers 2.
