According to Alex (magtibay@aol.com),
the title "Ballad of Fallen Angels" comes from the Aerosmith song "Fallen

The ace of spades appears several times during the episode. In the Tarot,
ace of spades represents death.
Jet drinks "Pippu" (Pepsi)
A very blatant tribute to John Woo films. The whole climactic fight scene

OK, BigBigTruck tells me that the opera
scene with Faye and Vicious is an homage to the climactic concert scene in
"The Man Who Knew Too Much." Time to go smack myself with a wet noodle for
missing that one. . .
It's been a long while since I watched Pulp Fiction (maybe I should go rent
it to make sure), but it seems to me that there is a scene where John Travolta
enters a dimly lit room, and Uma Thurman is standing behind a chair in the
same way that the leather-clad Julia is during Spike's flashback.
If you notice any references that I missed, I would appreciate
it if you e-mail me.
